I don't make a practice of forwarding private emails to the listserv, but
I've made an exception this time. I know that I'm not the only one on the list
who has been, from time to time, a recipient of Al's passionate off-list
opinions. Sometimes Al and I agree: we agree on land value tax, on appreciating
good communication between community groups and their communities, and on being
frustrated by L&I's seemingly arbitrary operation and changing of the rules.
Sometimes we disagree -especially on the historic character and value of our
properties and on what constitutes a neighborhood amenity. Isn't the listserv
great? What did we do in the old days, when it was a slow and time-consuming
process to spread the word?
