It has come to my attention that for some time now I have been miscounting the number of contributions which LASERBEAM makes to the monthly list stats. The reasons for my mistake are somewhat esoteric; suffice it for now to say that last month (July 2004) he came in, in the official reckoning, at the top of the Top Ten with 24 messages -- that number should be cut in half, viz 12 messages.
I do humbly and sorrowfully apologize to Mr. LASERBEAM for any inconvenience, agony, or mistaken sense of entitlement which I may have caused him. On the other hand, Mr. LASERBEAM's modus of posting brings him in under the radar, so to speak, and makes it bloody difficult to give an accurate count. Plus which now I'll have to go back and fix the stupid stats for the whole past year.
If anyone has been making an illicit book and gambling on the proceedings, be warned that I shall NOT be making any refunds, even if I were in the position to do so. Let this be a lesson to you (and I mention no names) to limit your loathsome activities to the racetrack, Atlantic City and the riverboats.
