Important Reminders If you have old furniture that you do not want, do not leave it on the street or you may be fined by the city. Call your landlord – they might pick it up from you directly for a nominal fee. Or, take it to the UCD’s Maintenance Shop, 4056 Powelton Avenue from 11 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, except Labor Day. USE CLEAR BAGS WHENEVER POSSIBLE so trash pickers can window shop and not rip apart bags. (Ask your landlord for some clear bags.) Put trash out on the REGULAR City trash collection days OR take the trash to the dumpsters. DO NOT leave your trash on the sidewalk at any other time or you will be fined by the City. Do not leave your trash in your apartment, hallway or on the porch. Take your trash to a dumpster.
