On Tuesday night, September 14th, Robert Greenwald's
new film, "Unconstitutional," will be premiered in a
private showing at the Bridge Cinema de Lux theatre in
University City, Philadelphia. This hard-hitting
documentary follows in the footsteps of Greenwald's
acclaimed "Truth Uncovered" and "Outfoxed." The film
shows, with frightening detail, what can happen to
ordinary Americans caught in the web of the Patriot
Act. This hastily-passed legislation is not just an
anti-terrorist tool. It threatens the constitutional
rights of all Americans, and has already been used in
numerous non-terrorist situations.
The production of "Unconstitutional" was sponsored by
the American Civil Liberties Union, and will be shown
for the first time in Pennsylvania on September 14th.

A Robert Greenwald documentary on the USA Patriot Act
Just 45 days after the September 11 attacks, and with
virtually no debate, Congress passed the US Patriot
Act. Touted as legislation necessary to protect
Americans from terrorists, the Patriot Act is in fact
being used to prosecute ordinary Americans in
non-terrorist situations.
This film tells the frightening stories of how this
legislation has caught innocent citizens in its

The Department of Justice reportedly was ready to
introduce a sequel to the Patriot Act, known as
Patriot II, which would strip away yet more freedoms
guaranteed by our Constitution. However, the
opposition was so great, that the Department is now
attempting to “back door” this legislation by
introducing it as a series of separate hard-to-track
pieces of legislation.
More than 300 communities in 41 states have passed
resolutions in opposition to the Patriot Act.
Hundreds more are joining the fight.
