However, I learned that Master Oil is no longer doing the ECAP Oil Co-op. Instead, Dave Hanley has picked up the ECAP contract for our neighborhood. The price is 30 cents above the wholesale price (Master was $.25 above, but when they were bought out by Kelly Oil, they stopped doing business with ECAP at those prices).
The good news is that Hanley is offering a $1.56 a gallon deal for automatic delivery customers. ECAP told me I have to lock in this week to get this rate.
The expectation is that oil prices will go up this winter, given the mess in Iraq, projections of a cold winter, and the usual winter demand.
