There recently was posted a question about recycling cell phones. As the cost of new cell phones continues to drop like a Kodak Brownie camera, used phones now are being shipped over seas.

While we may hope old cell phones go for resale in poorer countries, the recycling of these technology products is code for ship it to a third world nation, where some starving peasant is paid to cook them down over a charcoal fire, to boil off the gold like a spoonful of smack. The peasant dies a painful toxic death, his offspring is deformed, and as usual, the haves have more and the poor have not.

We will wage a cleaner more sensitive form of chemical warfare. Aint recycling great?

And did I tell you, Kerry does not understand the nature of international trade?
