I recently had my invasive Norway Maple cut down from my back yard. I plan to replace it with a less foliaged, less seedy, less shedding tree in the spring (maybe a pear?). Now, I have plenty of wood on the side of my house for my fireplace. It's a shame that my fireplace isn't working yet. If there's anybody else that wants free wood, don't ask me or reply to me- just take it....it's on the Regent side of my house. (corner of Regent and 46th St.) Thanks and your welcome.

Subject: [UC] tree damage question

A number of saplings and young trees in my yard are showing damage of
late. I'd blame deer, but I don't think I have deer in my back yard.

Any thoughts what it could be? The damage (see link) is typically 4-6
feet above ground level.
