Seriously, folks, the discourse on
this list has degenerated to the point that NOBODY can tell what is good useful
info and what is a load of balderdash. I mean, the Bullshit Quotient has soared
to an all-time high. Can't tell what's up or down anymore.
For solid staid citizens like
myself, all of this fucking tripe has DANGEROUSLY devalued the utility of this
list. I used to trust MacGill when he ran those long detailed intricate posts
explaining exactly how oil heat and air conditioning function. Read them
studiously and marvelled at his expertise. Now I wonder if he's just jiving.
Similarly, I used to come to this
list for the best local info on WHO to use for WHAT, how much they cost, are
they reliable, etc. and now I'm afraid to pick up the phone and call the
plumber for fear of getting a recorded Monty Python sketch.
I used to think Krigman was an
accurate source of information. Now I'm beginning to wonder.
PLEASE PLEASE kiddies, take your
shuckin and jivin to a private room somewhere and let us good UC Village
yuppies carry on a DECENT conversation about useful stuff. Personally it's
getting so bad that I have a good mind to UNSUBSCRIBE!! Or call the FCC.
