It is good to see that our Red State/Blue State game translates so well into Town/Gown here in UC.  While all other disputants in the neighborhood engage one another, humorously or otherwise, it appears that Neighbor and Student have never truly gotten to know the Other (sniff, sniff).  We stand perilously close to becoming Two People, One Land!!

Since all the other meeting places (Fresh Grocer, The Bridge, Clark Park) have failed to bridge this tragic gap, we must embrace this new Orange Haven with open arms and reach out out our hands to the poor benighted Students and proclaim:  "Take up your Balls and Bowl with us!"

Remember, we do this not just for ourselves or for our neighborhood, but for our nation.  If we can bowl with increased understanding here in our little Backyard of Anointment, then we can spread our message of Gutterball Love to the rest of our strife-torn country.  We can go faith-based with our Strikeways Ministries and also build the biggest 527 ever; maybe BowlOn.org or BowlingTogether.

I'm open to all suggestions for maximizing this Gift from God, including offering 24-hour cereal consumption or free pet neutering, but first I have to take a call from Halliburton - something about a mosque re-use and democraticization project code-named Falluja Lanes.

I, for one, would like to start a tradition of calling Penn students
"little Paris Hiltons."
