Wal-Mart, but if you don't like supporting a company who donates most of there "political monies" to Republicans Good Lord, Little Christmas is still pending and we have returned to
political bigotry. Why not focus on the Wal-Mart policies you don't like, not on
the political affiliation of approximately one half of the American
people?
Wal-Mart manipulates into compliance weak suppliers. In many locales they
are the employer of last resort for people desperate for work. Wal-Mart's
presence in many communities frequently stifles competition, then
controls the market place not necessarily to the benefit to the community.
In Philadelphia Wal-Marts have been welcomed by Democratic Mayors and
Democratic Councilpersons, because in means money for their friends in the real
estate industry and in the unionized building trades. Most working people,
including Democrats, want good value for their hard earned money, so they
don't give a damn about the politics of Wal-Mart. They go for low prices.
In Philadelphia Wal-Mart is nothing special. The Penn's Landing store is a
big dumpy scruffty establishment. Reflective of the locals who work there and
shop there. The prices aren't that great; the same that you will pay at our
local Pep Boys, Sears, or KMarts. If I need teat cream for livestock
they do have it at Penn's Landing, while the three aforementioned stores do
not. Regardless, I wont shop Wal-Mart.
When I deal with people, I judge them on how they treat me in a social
setting, not how they vote in the privacy of a voting booth.
Have you ever met Republican Matt Wolfe? He's a pretty nice guy.
Merry Christmas,
Craig
