In all seriousness, what do you think it is?
My experience in UC, if between floors rather than running up and down walls are field mice. Best bets:
1) edible poison & patience; should draw mice out in search of water
2) traps spring and glue are ok but mice learn quickly, if they see buddy in trap.
If it dies under floor, you will have to put up with stench for several days. Dead squirrels stink for several weeks, depending on outside temperature. An increase in flies is also attendant to death in our local warm weather months.
