Is anyone a member of the Greater Enon Baptist Church (4633 Cedar Avenue)? If so, could you please speak to the Pastor about making arrangements to have their sidewalk along 47th Street shoveled. It remained unshoveled as of this morning creating a hazard. This a recurring problem every time it snows. I have left messages with the Church requesting that they shovel their walks, but it never seems to do anything. If I knew anything about the Bible, I would include an ironic bible passage here in a cynical attempt to make a point, but, unfortunately, my bible studies have been woefully inadequate (actually non-existence other than a brief Bible-in-Literature course in high school).
While you are having the discussion, you might also want to gently suggest that they replace the two missing downspouts on the 47th Street side of the building that will, over time, cause water-related structural/foundation problems. This is a perfect example of how deferring repairs that would cost less than $50 to make now leads to future repairs costing $1000s. Oh well, I am sure that God will provide. Jonathan A.
