A bit of a non-sequitor ... I photographed a guy in central PA this summer who was spitting mad that his tax dollars were going to pay for SEPTA busses in Philadelphia. He got so animated when he found out that I was from Philly I thought he was going to punch me. Antictodally it seemed the perception out there that our fair city is sucking the life out of the Commonwealth, that Rendell is to blame for channeling money here and that the best thing for PA would be a huge fire in Philadelphia that razed the place like Gemmorah.
Fodors is advising that people traveling through Central PA sew a Canadian Flag to their backpacks to avoid trouble. If asked where you live, just say "Ottowa".
