If SOBO sounds like HOBO to you, just shows how unhip and untrendy you are. SOBO is obviously analagous to SOHO, which has meant hip and trendy for oh, about the last hundred years.
In New York, SOHO is "South of Houston", duh. Way far down from LE VILLAGE, as in Greenwich Village. I'm just explaining this stuff to you because you're obviously a hillbilly wanker. In our own beloved University City Village/West Philly, SOBO means "SOuthern BOhemian" -- where all the Bohemians go when they want to get a little risque and go south of Melani's Vientiane Cafe or Dahlak, which are cool in their own way but hey. What is the last "O" for? I've always used "South Of Baltimore Avenue...." Besides, the rising pitch of the final A in SOBA is more pleasing to my ears. SOBO sounds like HOBO, and nobody's gonna get rich off real estate associating hobos and UC. ----- "Vincent/Roger" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > We believe the correct term should be "SOBO" -- > and we have an appetizer with this name at Abbraccio, down > in the > wonderful, trendy, hip Sobo section. > where all the neat people live. > Roger > > >> "Kingsessing is a place.
