$5 suggested donation
A new, monthly (4th Tuesday of each month) real-life storytelling
competition. Each month's theme drives the delivery of stories that come
from the life experiences of Philly's storytellers; April's theme is
"Firsts."
Ten contestants are given five minutes on the mic to tell their story and
win the crowd. Audience members score the gutsy performers on a ten-point
scale, and the winner will compete in
November's Grand Slam, presented during the sixth annual First Person
Festival of Memoir and Documentary Arts (Nov 7-11).
Come to tell your story, to judge, or just to enjoy wild, weird, poignant,
and funny stories from Philadelphians of all stripes!
