Hi All,
About 2-3 weeks ago I also came across an open sewer entrance. This was on Chester Ave. at 48th Street. Someone leaving the dog run said they'd report the hazard to the Streets dept.

I wonder if scrap yards would buy the grates. It seems unlikely since the covers would be so obviously stolen, but then again this is Philadelphia...

Best,
Steve.

Yes, after seeing John's picture and realizing exactly what was missing, that was exactly my question: what happened to the storm drain cover? It's obviously too sturdy and heavy to have either broken or blow away. Someone has to be taking them. But who?
