I'm sorry, you said the loyal Democratic opposition tooth-and-nail opposed
the Rs profligate spending patterns, as the Ds took home the bacon too, to
their constituents, who clamored for much more?

Are you sure you are not the FLA Stern, the municipal finance specialist?

Locally, BigD John "I am the master of the budget" Street prides himself on
his budget surpluses in part producing this calendar year almost 500 blacks,
predominately males, killing themselves through a life of drug
dealing/violence; plus another unspoken about 500+ whites dying from drug ODs
and addiction
related disease; and everybody wanting to play to the local Latino
communities in "East Philadelphia", seems to overlook their exclusive/massive
control
of Philadelphia drug dealing. Personally, I'd like to see Street have a
neutral budget that includes more DAs, more police, and more prisons. For some
the
absence of the three could be blamed on the stinginess of the RFeds, while
for others their absence is an example of BigD enlightenment.

Locally, look at how the drug industry thrives as an non-federally taxed
self-regulating business model. Great system, wrong product. When it comes to
numbers, those MIT guys are hard to beat.

Ciao,
