Actually, it should be noted that 4701 Pine was the first apartment building
in the country to be designed with a parking spot for every apartment.

Mike, Thanks for offering an alternative understanding.

It?is easy to confuse Garden Court (4617 - 4643 Pine) with 4701 Pine.? And
there were lots of distractions (one drawback of being surrounded by smart,
funny, activists).

But?even if the reference were to?4701, neighbors should note that 4701 has
huge amounts of self contained parking.? I think someone at the meeting last
night said there were 300 spaces, and since the opening is only equivalent to
about 2 street spaces,?no net?loss for the neighbors, who may rent a
space?after demand from within the building is met.?

4701 also has sufficient?open space to house a Dog Run, Tennis Courts, and an
enormous?garden with pond.??Plus most of the apartments are large and well
lighted.? The building does not encroach upon neighboring homes, putting
neighbors at unreasonable risks.

Neither of these grand 1920's projects are reasonable comparables to the
proposed contemporary tower with zero setbacks and cramped rooms.
