So, there's a precedent for us. A more dense development with fewer parking solutions, up closer to the edges of its lot on more sides, with us since the 1920s. It's already here, and it hasn't caused the problems folks are projecting for the Campus Inn.
I keep wondering, when folks point to any tall residential building in the neighborhood, and compare that to the tall COMMERCIAL building being proposed -- is that a fair thing to do? a useful comparison?
also, every reason that's given to justify this proposed hotel would equally apply if the hotel was planned for, say, the vacant lot two doors down from amy gutmann's residence on walnut street. would it be fair to consider that? would it be useful?
ie., it's not simply the height, or the size, or the use, or the location of the proposed hotel which is at issue, but the height AND the size AND the use AT THAT LOCATION which is at issue.
so let us stick to the real question, the real proposal. does that sound fair? useful? .................. UNIVERSITY*CITOYEN ---- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to the list named "UnivCity." To unsubscribe or for archive information, see <http://www.purple.com/list.html>.
