For my birthday gift, my husband and I dined tonight at Chef José Garces new restaurant "Distrito."
I liked it very much. The plates are small but really flavorful. Every plate was wonderful. They also have various tequila flights, (three samples each) for order such as: Silver, Reposado, Añejo, Highlands, Lowlands and El Camino Royál etc. Should you come expecting oversized portions such as Chili's, you might be disappointed. However, the dishes were tasty, well executed and well presented. Desserts were also good. The music, (REAL music), and atmosphere were great as well. I would recommend neighborhood people eat there and establish themselves because the GM and owner are very amenable.
