Thanks Melani.  I'm glad you see that responding to VanHelder's comment was troubling.  Since some of us courageously stood firm against bullying and the group ad hominem, our open public list has become very civil and a great community asset. While it's terrible that Penn has been engaging in censorship with it's UCneighbors, the bright spot was that the barking cheese gang slithered away.   I think we all chose to ignore VanHelder's ad hominem comments.  But when you responded, I remembered the bad days when any productive discussion on the public list was always silenced by the group ad hominem. I'm very glad that you understand why I drew attention to your response to VanHelder.  Let's keep the public list, the civil welcoming community asset that it has become.
