Yes, I missed this. I was out of the country a great deal from April through June. I did some research this morning and I see how poorly the corporate right wing media covered the protests and real issues. (I read Christine Flowers rant in the Daily News.) I certainly was out of touch, and I don't pay attention to right wing mean-spirited propaganda unless Jon Stewart and Colbert report it.

Thanks for your attention to this matter. I just wrote a poem you will enjoy!

Glenn, if you weren't so busy protesting at Rittenhouse Square, writing poetry and lyrics, you could make time to read more of the left leaning Social Democrats' press that has widely reported this allegedly despicable tool for recruiting our next generation of American Patriot Warriors; excuse me, my appetite for a free press just slipped through. The current appropriate nomenclature for non- American hostile combatants is TANGOS. Ragheads is so old-head Benseraglio2.

Since we've already established you are news-deprived, except for some occasional outrageous Inky articles, I wanted to share with you how the Jihadi's are unlawfully lashing out at the Fruit of King Richard the Lion Heart <http://sheikyermami.com/2009/08/23/bradford-we-dont-want-whites-we-rule-bradford-we-are-going-to-get-you-out/ >

Apparently, you are not cultivating any Trees-of-Liberty in UC. Cut'em all down and used'em for outhouses?

Ciao,

Craig

Dear neighbors concerned about the never ending wars,

When I received an e-mail about this army experience center, I checked to see if

it was real because it seemed so far out. Here is the official web site. I

found that it was covered/advertised on CNN. Has anyone actually seen it at

Franklin Mills?

http://www.thearmyexperience.com/about-army/educat
ion-and-benefits

Notice how they show smiling kids with the dollar amounts of potential benefit

totals. These post Vietnam, war recruitment centers, have always hyped college

benefits to vulnerable kids, whom often can't read. And they hype a lifetime of

VA health care and future golden opportunities without mentioning agent orange,

PTSD, or extra radiation doses from Penn doctors.

It seems that the power of free violent video games was at the heart of this

Philadelphia pilot study and this new model for national war recruitment of

vulnerable youth. I also think this is one of the potential new uses for the

recreation centers and libraries being closed across the country. Remember, how

perplexing it was, when Nutter announced that alternative partnerships were

being pursued for our public assets conveniently located in poor neighborhoods?

This was forwarded to me but I don't know the original source:

"Gun-toting youth as young as 13 have been heard congratulating each other for

"killing ragheads" and "wiping out hajis," but the Army doesn't see it that way.

“We want to give people the opportunity to experience the Army for themselves,

so they have an understanding of what soldiers do, and they can be proud of

their service,” explains Army Major Larry Dillard, Army Experience Center

Program Manager.

The Army=2
0has recently announced that the Philadelphia Pilot program has resulted

in a decision to launch Experience Centers across the country. 140 new recruits

have signed up through the $12 Million center since it opened last August."
