Dear neighbors, Congratulations to West Philly for refusing to give aid and comfort to FOCP!!!
FOCP didn't have members, present for their election, to equal the number of board members and officers. They voted quickly by affirmation. They refused to give me the number of members present, but I looked at the records with Fran Byars. They apparently had only 9 voting members for the election. After the invalid vote Tony West put forward 4 more names to be board members (Ed Haligan of SHCA infamy is one.) They then affirmed those individuals to join the board after the election. The election was laughable and the FOCP is laughable. It appears that the reasonable members of the FOCP board have left in disgust, like I did many years ago! Well done guys! The room was packed with supporters of the People's flea market. The people of West Philly now know the truth about FOCP leaders, the truth about their surveys, and how low they can go! The People's flea market has gathered 1200 signatures on a petition in support. By the way, Lewis Wendell, is a signatory to the petition. (I think Lewis may have had a genuine awakening when he left.) It's time for FOCP to disband!!!! The people who believe Clark Park belongs to everyone are more than ready to be the stewards of the park! Well done West Philly! Call your representatives and tell them that FOCP leaders do not represent this community. The people are tired of their crap. (And a well done for Brian Siano, when he told Mr. West to "cut the crap.") Power to the people! Power to West Philly!
