Our driver Bill (at The Gold Standard) was stopped two month's ago for going through a stop sign, while driving our company van. The policeman checked Bill's driver's license and claimed his records showed the license had been suspended for various violations. The officer said that, according to the "Live Stop" regulations, my company van had to be towed to the city's impound lot.
We finally got the van back from the impound lot after spending a great deal of time and paying about $400 in various fines and fees. NOW two months later ... Bill went to appeal his ticket and took evidence that his driver's license was in good standing. His case was dismissed ...no fine, no penalty. BUT ...he asked about recovering the fees from the inappropriate Live-Stop towing ... everyone at traffic court just laughed at him. Does anyone have any experience in recovering unfair Live-Stop towing parking fees? Is this just a losing battle? Roger Harman
