I think you're a clever lad. Please study this definition for ad hominem fallacy I've
provide below. Then, I'll be happy to give you a lecture on the misuse and overuse of
the word "rant." But I don't want you to shame yourself publicly by using the
common fallacies employed so often in the corporate media and local tabloid journalism.

Josh, I don't know which of my points has infuriated you-(exposing attack journalism that
uses lies and misinformation, or the secret dealings between government and a range of
dishonest "non-profits"). That's one of the ultimate failings of using ad
hominem to stifle voices. I don't even know what angers you!
Josh, I do have empathy for those of you caught up in the corporate web hoping
to hold onto a middle class way of life. I know I piss off people who are
fearful and dependent on the corporations and their ideology of power and
plutocracy.
You've seen me "rant" about the level of addictions present in society and how the
corporate cartels deliberately manipulate the middle class with fear. I recently posted Chris
Hedges and he also talked of our society lost into "electronic hallucinations." And I'd
like to recommend a book by Daniel Brook, The Trap (sorry I forget the subtitle about a winner take
all America).
When listening to the middle class stories, I can genuinely feel sorry for the
fear and sellout that must tear them apart, deep down. I just don't want them
to continue in a state of delusion and denial!
Corporate jobs and a code of silence pay much better than jobs for teachers,
social workers, and poets. The fear is that without a sell out of one's
principles, individuals might not be able to maintain the middle class material
existence on which they depend.
I understand the dilemmas which would prompt you to lower yourself to the use
of ad hominem! I forgive you. I think if I could talk to you we would find
that deep down you believe in democratic process, fairness, justice , and
transparency.
Josh, try to open your eyes and remember those deeper human values that I'm
sure you hold. You may feel differently about some of the ranters trying to
expose the truth if you take my advise!

The Clark Park Partnership could have never seized Clark Park if this city
adopted ethics and these specific suggestions of the Committee of 70!
Currently, the mayor, department of Recreation leaders, water department, etc.
can completely ignore citizens right to transparency (behind locked doors with
phones and e-mail which never works) by handing over taxpayer money to
secretive organizations like the Clark Park Partnership. These entities like
UCD and The Clark Park Partnership can conduct all of their business in secret
even though they take over the roles of government and preside over our rights
as citizens. They lobby the city officials daily like K St. does, but are
currently excused from accountability as if they were charities.
I can now see why the committee of seventy is in the cross hairs of corporate
bulldogs!
Corporations set-up these front groups, like UCD, to enact their agenda. Accountability
requirements based on the principles of a democratic republic are completely
circumvented. Transparency is the worst enemy of these ruthless soulless corporations.
If you consider the local evidence of the past 10 years, you also see the corporate
cheerleaders going to extraordinary efforts to attack transparency requirements. It's
boring, wasteful, inefficient, and only crazies and "wankers" waste everyone's
time by demanding transparency. The body of evidence from BID, the hotel, historic
designation, Clark Park, etc. is overwhelming!!!
Before we forgot history and civics, people understood that a republic must
stand on transparency like a building stands on a foundation. The building
crumbles without a foundation.
The apparent Public Record/West scheme to discredit proponents of transparency
makes perfect sense!
