A New Tradition Begins
West Philadelphia's Eleventh Commandment:
Know Thy Neighbor
It's been said that in order to truly understand someone, you must walk
a mile in their moccasins. At the Gold Standard, we're here to keep
things simple. Why not break bread together first and do the shoe
swapping later?
This March, the Gold Standard Café launches a new project that we're
calling "The First Tuesday Neighbor's Buffet." We're cooking up supper
for the entire neighborhood on "First Tuesday" evenings from 5 until 8
p.m. Mix, mingle and meet your neighbors in our always comfortable BYOB
dining room. Fifteen dollars per person will buy you a buffet dinner
featuring a choice from at least three different entrees, along with
salads, desserts and your pick of beverages (coffee, tea, lemonade).
Vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections will always be available.
Reservations can be made, but seating will not be assigned, and we
encourage you to get to know someone you don't know. Join in on the fun
at our March 1st inaugural "First Tuesday Neighbors' Buffet."
