Counselor in Arts After School Program

University City Arts League seeks a par-time after school counselor for its 
arts after school program
Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. starting immediately and continuing
through June 17. Possible opportunities for work in the summer session. $10 per 
hour.

Counselors are responsible for
• the safe conduct of children from the Penn Alexander School across the Street
from the Arts League.
• Supervision of free play from 3 to 4 p.m. along with distribution of snack 
during
that time
• Acting as a teacher’s assistant if necessary in some after school arts 
classes. Assist
in administrative work when needed.
• Keeping the snack and play area clean after use by children
• Helping other counselors during pickup time when parents come to take their
children home.

Child clearance papers necessary. Experience working with children a plus. Must 
be
caring while demonstrating the ability to maintain order among children. Group 
size
averages around 40. Working with other competent, caring professionals in a 
Victorian
twin building with four floors of classrooms plus a pottery studio. Address is
