'“The rates of PTSD we see are as high or higher than Iraq, Afghanistan or Vietnam veterans,” Ressler said. "We have a whole population who is traumatized.”
Post-traumatic stress can be a serious burden: It can take a toll on relationships and parenting, lead to family conflict and interfere with jobs.'

The etiology, severity, prevalence and relief of the debilitating effects of trauma are deliberately cloaked in our society.  Our masters have pretended that entire nations victimized by our foreign terrorism are not actually traumatized.  They have attempted to misdiagnose PTSD in Vietnam veteran's to avoid paying veteran's benefits.  And they have completely denied the effects of economic caused chronic trauma among the lowest quarter to third of the population.  This article touches one aspect of domestic trauma and the debilitating effects.

I've posted before how the daily stresses of the poor become traumatic, even though a privileged middle class can easily dismiss the harm of a mountain of mini-traumas.  But consumers, who can begin to recognize the truth about chronic trauma, might begin to recognize the true prevalence of traumatic debilitation among their neighbors and American society!

Issues of early childhood environment and genetic predisposition dominate research funding on combat veterrans, as if predicting individual responses to trauma is the only public good.  Of course, profitable, toxic, pharmaceutical interventions are then offered as the only treatments for symptoms, so that the traumatic structure of imperial capitalism can be maintained without question.  (Review marijuana prohibition.  Marijuana is well known, among honest people, to be one of the best natural treatments to ameliorate the range of debilitating symptoms of traumatic stress!)

It's very important that middle class consumers contemplate an important contributing factor in the development of permanent debilitation in domestic PTSD.  Because chronic trauma is not recognized as a serious problem, "early intervention" never occurs for those victimized by poverty!  We know that early intervention is the most important treatment for combat veteran's.  Essentially, trauma seems to "burn" destructive pathways into the conscious and unconscious areas of the mind.

Providing early relief and deprogramming the mind away from the traumatic pain helps to keep the debilitating symptoms from causing permanent debilitation!  The permanent hopelessness of poverty makes that impossible.

If our masters allowed us to discuss and understand the truth about trauma, can you see how differently Americans might approach various domestic policies???  We are taught to worship the mental illnesses of obsession.  We are taught to worship the 1 in a million, Horatio Alger, whom embraces an unhealthy singular obsession to greed.

But the reality is that for every mentally ill Horatio Alger, who destructively claws his way to economic power; society produces a half a million individuals, whom are condemned to various levels of the debilitating consequences of chronic stress.  (The big lie is that combat trauma to US warriors is the only real trauma that causes severe debilitation.)

Please think about the real consequences of permanent-war, capitalism and policies; which intimidate and traumatize vast portions of American society!  Please think about the reality of the "boot strap" and "trickle down" lies.  It's not how human minds or societies work and thrive.
