Regarding cat litter, make sure it is the old fashioned NON-clumping kind. Also, the local pet shop sells paw safe litter and may still have some left. call first. If your neighbor is out of salt, share. and please check on your 'less able' neighbors
regularly.

I got up waaay too late, and found that my neighbor'd done my walk as

Oh, one other thing: Don't use salt on your walk: it hurts puppies'
paws. Cat litter works really well as an alternative.

Maybe the first thing to do would be to reach out directly to the owners.
It's always nice to give someone a chance to mend their ways before
escalating.

I'm fully in favor of "public shaming" of businesses/large landlords who

Clean a *sidewalk* path at least 36" wide within 6 hours after the end
of the storm. Do not shovel snow on top of manholes.

When shoveling, place snow up against your property wall or on lawn,
never into the street; it hampers our salting/plowing efforts."

Thinking particularly of some commercial/rental properties along
Baltimore that have not shovelled once this season, the 311 categories for reporting unshovelled walks after the 6 hour limit are "Streets" and
then "Sanitation Violation."

remember citizens, shoveling the walk isnt about tidying up your
property, it's about making the sidewalks passable, especially for neighbors with limited mobility. If you're outside doing your civic duty & notice that your next door neighbor is too lazy, shovel theirs too,
because you're a nice person.
