With the old 2.4 intel driver [1] I get both suspend and video working again.
I also tried the PPA 2.7.1-0ubuntu1~xup~1 [2] package with Option "AccelMethod" "UXA" as described in [3] . Video playback worked, suspend worked too, however resume would come back with a black screen. Switching between terminals would only restart Xorg (audible by hearing the Ubuntu "bongos" from the login screen), the screen would flicker and back to a black screen without any intermediary visible screen. However, strangely enough shuting down the laptopo would come back to Ubuntu's graphical shutdown screen... Here [4] is a bug report from Debian, that could be related. It links to an upstream report that looks quite similiar wrt symptoms [5]. *t [1] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReinhardTartler/X/RevertingIntelDriverTo2.4 I get both suspend and video playback [2] xserver-xorg-video-intel_2:a2.7.1-0ubuntu1~xup~1_amd64.deb [3] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/375264 [4] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=529072 [5] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19731 ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #529072 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=529072 ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #19731 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19731 -- [i965GM] PPA version 2:2.7.1-0ubuntu1~xup~1 doesn't let me suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/385497 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
