Hi everybody, Since the last comments on this bug we have had quite a few fixes in mesa and various components and drivers of xorg which have solved problems like this. Since the end of August, those fixes are now included in Karmic and for me basic Blender usage is working for the first time since Hardy.
Adam, could you verify that this has been fixed for you? You other guys, if it hasn't been fixed for you on an updated Karmic please file a new bug report. The problem is most likely in mesa or the driver for your video card, and it would it is probably best to report it against the video driver first. Please use the ubuntu-bug command on Karmic: `ubuntu-bug -p xserver-xorg-video-ati`, or replace -ati with -intel if you have intel graphics chips. A recent LiveCD can be obtained from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily- live/ , but also alpha-5 should have most of the recent fixes: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/9.10/ . ** Changed in: blender (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- Blender - OpenGL windows behaving badly; incorrect repainting and screen corruption https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374307 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
