I'm also having the same issue but surely this can't be an issue with
anjuta.  I had assumed it's an X/video driver issue, it shouldn't crash
from an application request unless it is faulty.

Hey "buzz", maybe there's something similar in our setups that can help
us isolate the issue and get this triaged into the right place.  I have:

* System: DELL Inspiron 1501
* Video Harware: ATI Technologies Inc RS482 [Radeon Xpress 200M]
* Video Drivers: ati/radeon (open source)
* Compiz: enabled
