Pedro, your command does nothing; I guess this command should be:
brasero --brasero-burn-debug --brasero-media-debug &> brasero-debug.txt; ?

Furthermore, I tried to reproduce the problem with two cd-rw discs.
However, I did not succeed in reproducing. This could be, because
brasero treats rewritables differently as non-rewritables. As soon as I
clicked 'burn another disc', it asked to blank the (just burned) rw.

The 'VOLUME IDENTIFIER' was the label of the burned disc. As soon as I
have to burn multiple DVD-R's again, I will report back.
