@ThomasNovin I had already tried that, and Evolution crashed prompty on account setup: Something that does not apparently happen to others. It also crashes in such a way that no debugging is triggered to submit.
I had hoped that it was just a PPA thing, but the GA version acts exactly the same. Tried fresh account setup on fresh userid even. I assume at this point that I have a package on that is not compatible with evo-mapi, but I have no idea what it is. I also have a 10.04 box, and so am waiting for the package to appear there to see what happens: I think I am probably facing a very careful rebuild of the 9.10 system to get this working now though.
