Thanks for your bug report.
By looking at your screenshot, I think that hal isn't running/has crashed, so
you won't have any volume management in thunar... Try to restart it (sudo start
hal), then volume management should be back. If you manage to obtain a
backtrace for hal, please file a bug against it.
