There was an octave2.1-forge package containing these functions in Dapper/Feisty/Gutsy, but in Hardy it appears that they were not packaged at all (they were never made part of the main octave package).
Most of Octave-Forge reappeared in Intrepid, but it was split into its individual packages; dct and dct2 are in the octave-signal package, if you're missing any others then http://octave.sourceforge.net/doc/index.html tells you what's where. Note that bug 298143 may uninstall Octave on upgrading to Intrepid, but it can be reinstalled as normal. If you are unable or unwilling to upgrade, you can obtain Octave-Forge directly from http://octave.sourceforge.net/packages.html, but be aware that this does not automatically enforce dependencies. ** Changed in: octave3.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- octave3.0 -- missing dct and dct2 functions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/229944 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
