To Gerard: Ok, so vesa is not working for you. You have a DVI connection on the AE500, right? I have an AE700 with VGA and HDMI connections, so have to use an adapter (have tried both).
To anyone interested: I tried the Jaunty alpha live install on an USB stick. Worked fine on another computer. On B202 all I got was a blank screen after the BIOS startup screen (no signal with VGA adapter, actual black screen with the HDMI adapter).
