Binary package hint: texlive-base-bin
I cannot use Emacs to write TeX. I compile the file, then from Emacs I
launch Xdvi. Without closing windows I switch to Emacs, change
something, recompile, switch windows to look at Xdvi. After one or two
of these switchings, everything hangs. It begins with a small hourglass
appearing in Xdvi, everything slows down enormously, then nothing more.
The systems does not respond to any keyboard or mouse event (no X kill
or console switch).
