Still happens often enough on latest Intrepid + Firefox as of today.

Firefox: 3.0.5+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1

When firefox returns from minimized, it often takes up the whole window,
covering the top and bottom panels. It doesn't look like the regular
full screen, but the only way out I know is double F11, when it returns
to normal size, as I want it.

--
MASTER The firefox window takes up all of the screen, impossible to reduce size
and cannot access the close, reduce and clear screen options. The page also
flickers when the mouse passes over certain areas of the screen. Firefox home
page appears as a tiny page in the middle of the screen.
