@Jonathan, thanks for the swift reply. I'm working with Jaunty, which seems pretty different from intrepid with regards to this stuff. Not finding a lot of jaunty users in that thread. will keep working at it. in the meantime, i'll try this patch and see if I can get the lcd working... thx!
