My graphics card is '01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon RV250 [Mobility FireGL 9000] (rev 02)' Since upgrading, there has been a mysterious rectangle in the top right corner of my screen, below the clock. It's transparent, showing the desktop through it, with a shadow as appears around windows. It appears on boot, disappears when Visual Effects is turned off, and does not reappear when Visual Effects is turned back on -- But reappears after reboot. In the attached screenshot, it looks as if it's associated with the panel - it's not.
