Pierre Francois, try adding "Option "AccelMethod" "XAA"" to your xorg config under Configured video device. It fixed it for me. You can also try replaceing XAA with uxa (the experimental acceleration method in development) which also fixed the problem. Just make sure you know how to change it back in case something goes wrong.
