This actually is an issue in the nexuiz-data package, not nexuiz. Furthermore, I just yesterday uploaded a version to Debian unstable (2.4.2-2) which includes a patch to disable the version check. It is pretty small (just some #if 0 and #endif in one file), so you might want to use that patch for all releases of nexuiz-data in Ubuntu.
Please also notice that you might want to also adopt the small change I did to debian/rules about moving the patch-stamp dependency from the build target to the build-stamp target to ensure that patching is done *before* building. Find attached the patch that I pushed into Debian stable which is a minimized version of the patch that I pushed into unstable where I also did some other small changes, but I guess you get the idea and can figure out which way you want to go. ** Attachment added: "interdiff from the Debian stable upload" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/28238647/nexuiz-data_2.4.2-1%2Blenny1.interdiff ** Changed in: nexuiz (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- Nexuiz demands a user to update to a new version https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277748 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
