Can SlimServer handle remote mount disks? One way I can see doing this,
is getting the nortech hyperclient (800Mhz, 256Mb memory, 256Mb flash
drive), and attach a USB disk for music storage. But later, when the
music collection gets to the size I hope to reach and finances allow,
to get a ReadyNAS for storage, while keeping the SlimServer on the
(presumaby faster) hyperclient.

Is 800Mhz/256Mb enough to run SlimServer *well*? Is this going to fly?
(It looks like that machine can't get to 512Mb). How complex is it
going to be to get Slimserver running on Linux (which I do not know),
and someday reading network disks from a readyNAS?

This has become important; my current music server (an ancient dual
processor machine with 1G memory) has crashed 3 times this weekend. It
is old and infirm, and a huge power pig, and the end is near.
