Actully, this same thing happened to me back in November when I upgraded Slim Server. It HAS NOT happened on the couple upgrades I have done since.
But I ran into exactly this thing yesterday. I changed my file structure. I used to have all my FLAC music and playlists in the My Music directory. Well, I finally entered the portable digital revolution and got a Cell Phone with buiilt in music player. It only supports WMA, so I converted some songs from FLAC to WMA and stored them in a different folder than "My Music" since I didn't want SlimServer to point to these songs. I decided that was dumb so made two subfolders under "My Music". One "Music for Squeezebox" and one "WMAs for Phone". I had to reset the pointer SlimServer uses. Then Re-scanned my entire music library, and woosh... my playlist were gone. Even though the pointer to the playlist was unchanged, and even though the playlist (.M3U) files still exist in the same folder, when I browse to "my plalists, it says it is empty. I evne tried moving the files to new folder and changed the Slim Server pointer as required, but still nothing? Is there any way to get my playlists back? It acutally took quite a bit fo time assmbling them. They are still there, Slim Server just won't recognize them.... -- Zten ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Zten's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1810 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24842 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
