Thanks - sudo /etc/init.d/slimserver stop works perfectly. In Xandros the script is in /etc/init.d/, though there's also a file that links to init.d in /etc/rc0.d/ (not sure what the point of that is...)
The only reason I wanted to shut down Slimserver was to try and follow the directions for getting Slimserver to use an existing MySQL database. Now that I've finally got Slimserver stopped, I'm trying to follow the MySQL logon instructions from http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?ExistingMySQLInstance I'm running into a little confusion storm, but I'll let you know how it works out tomorrow... Thanks again. -- AndyL ------------------------------------------------------------------------ AndyL's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8133 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29060 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
