Funny thing, I'm measuring Kuro right now... I had slimserver on kuro with 750GB hard drive but opted for dedicated full blown file server. I was able to run slimserver but it was little bit slow on serving directory entries on a 10Mbs network with NFS. There was a noticeable delay when I was browsing music folders on a Slim Player. Music playing was not affected. One more thing - my energy costs are around 0.07 so the 100W costs me around 61 USD per year versus 11 USD for kuro.
