I started again with slimserver after a HD crash and some troubles
installing. But everything is on the pc now, it starts and I can access
from another pc with a browser.

Now the pc runs gentoo, SlimServer Version: 6.5.0 - 9916 - Linux - EN -
iso-8859-1, Perl Version: 5.8.8 i586-linux, MySQL Version:
5.0.21-standard.

The music is all in a volume under LVM2. It is mounted at startup under
/muziek. I added 2 cd's that were ripped on my main pc with grip and the
tags edited with easytag-1.99.12. Nothing special, a single pop cd and a
jazz cd. Only special thing is that the jazz cd has "composer" tags
added.

Now, I have "cleared and rescanned" the library for about 20 times.
Changed the owner and group of the directories to "slim", but both
disks still don't show up properly.

The pop cd is listed as "no album" "no artist". When checking, all the
tags do list an album and an artist.

The jazz cd is listed correctly, but I cannot use the "composer" tag.
(yes, I checked it in the settings/behaviour together with "conductor"
and "band/orchestra") Have re-written the tags as well for both cd's.

However, it does list the composer as another artist...

- Is this a tag problem? Don't think so because the tags on the jazz cd
are interpreted fine.
- Listing the composer as an artist, is this normal? Why not adding a
"browse" entry for composer? That would make sense.
- You cannot search for a composer. Is this intended or part of the
problem?
- Is this only a problem on the linux version?
