Hi- running 6.5 on debian sarge
i added a bunch of files/directories to my internal drive. added a symbolic link to them in the music folder. scanned and nothing new. led me to look at permissions. whoa. a lot of the directories have set user id permissions. not sure if this is correct. so here's the user scoop: slimserver running under user "slimserver" I do my file work under user name "elio" ownership of the music files/directories is under "elio" Just what permissions should the music directories and actual files be?
