SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR/SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION ENGINEER
The Logitech Streaming Media Systems BU, formerly Slim Devices, is
seeking an experienced full-time Systems Administrator/Software
Configuration Engineer responsible for maintaining our internal and
external servers, manage nightly build environment and source-code
control systems.
The candidate will be working with both the engineering and product
marketing teams to develop and maintain public servers for our open
source community, product information, forums, and other services, as
well maintain our source code control system and automated build
environment. Additionally, they will provide technical guidance in the
creation and implementation of change control processes, leadership in
the development, implementation, and maintenance of configuration
management tools, branching and development strategies and in the
performance of SCM implementations, SCM configuration and change
controls.
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent
experience.
5+ years experience in systems administration, software engineering,
and/or revision control.
Expert knowledge of Unix/Linux. Good knowledge of Perl. Python and
other languages are a plus.
Expert knowledge of Subversion or expert knowledge of other SCM tools.
Ability to work well with developers, as well as non-engineering
personnel.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and
written.
Education:
Bachelors or equivalent
